About This Project
Alpha Joy is a registered children's home first founded by Mary Wambui Mungai. Her mission was to alleviate the plights faced by orphans in her village. In 2014, Mungai's children passed her legacy towards local well wishers. They shaped the Board of Management which runs the home today.
The children at Alpha Joy come from small local settlements in deep poverty. Alpha Joy offers these children an education, and a welcoming, safe place to live which is reminiscent of a family home.
