Msamaria Mwema Children's Home

Msamaria Mwema Childrens's home was started in 2007 by Mr. Peter Chege Gathungu and his wife Mrs. Winnie Chege. The home that started with three children, two boys and a girl, now has eighty four (84) children and youth aged between seven (7) and twenty (20) years. The home depends solely on well - wishers to keep going.

Gathaithi Orphans and Vulnerable Children Centre is a project designed for children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. It is a community based organization founded in 2006 by a religious order, by Mrs. Githinji, which was one of the first groups to respond to the needs of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) at Gathaithi and its environs. The centre is registered as a Charitable Children Institution (CCI).

Fountain of Life began as a feeding program that targeted boys living in Eastleigh. The boys initially received one meal a day and would later return to the streets. One evening, a shop close to where the boys slept was broken into. Unable to find the culprit, security officials attacked and beat the children nearby. The boys thought of a safe place they could run to and came to the Fountain of Life. Many years later, the home is blessed to have a large family.
